What is the Missouri Stream Team Program?
Missouri Stream Team is a working partnership of citizens that are concerned about Missouri streams. Participating in the Missouri Stream Team program provides an opportunity for citizens to get involved in river conservation. The goals of Missouri Stream Team are:
Education
Learning about Missouri’s 110,000 miles of rivers and streams in order to understand how streams work and the problems they face.Stewardship
Performing hands-on projects such as litter control, streambank stabilization, streamside tree planting, water quality monitoring, and more!Advocacy
Speaking on behalf of your adopted stream when people or businesses harm them. This can be done by writing letters, attending meetings, or talking to lawmakers.

Our Stream Team’s Work
The Ozarks Riverways Foundation Stream Team conducts activities in the Jacks Fork and Current Rivers. In these rivers, activities such as litter pickups and water quality testing are conducted. Through these activities, valuable data are collected that contribute to the Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Program. This program helps to inform and educate Missouri citizens about water quality and watershed health. Check out our events page for upcoming events!
